Culture Drawing

I come from a Polish background, so I chose a famous building in Poland called the Krzywy Domek. It's an abstract building, and I drew myself off to the side, wearing a present-day styled dress with an old-fashioned print design.

Silhouettes

During class, we had people pose with a light shining on them so we could cut out their shadow shape from black paper. These are the final outcomes of mine.

Ink Pallet Printing

I painted a design on a pallet with ink for a print. It was printed on damp watercolor paper.
Above is my original ink painting. And below is the print that came from it. It didn't come out how I expected it to, but I still think it looks kind of cool.

Ink Printing

These are my ink printings of the symbol for Anthem clothing.
(Above) My first one is my favorite. Even though the ink didn't all come out solid, I like how it turned out.
(Above) My second one didn't turn out as well as my first one, but I still kind of like it.
(Above) My third one is my least favorite. Some of the ink looks blotchy to me.
In the end, I painted over my original so I could keep it.

Photo Montage

This is a photo montage I made out of things that I don't like about people or things I just don't like in general. I actually had a lot of fun making it, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Wood Burning Box

This is my wood burning box project. I designed it after a band named Paramore, putting the band's logo on top and different lyrics around the sides. When I was done burning it, I painted over the box with acrylic paint.

Artist Statement

I think art is a good way to express emotions. This year I learned a lot on art, and I incorporated music into many of my pieces, from my band collage to my wood burning. Music means a lot to me and to be able to express it in terms of art is one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes art can give you a challenge, like I learned this year. But I learned that you can't give up on something once you start it, no matter how hard it can get. Art takes patience and time, and if you really work at s goal, you can accomplish it.

Body Sketches

In class, we watched tutorial videos on how to draw body parts. While watching them, we had to try and sketch them our selves. These are pictures from my sketchbook of the drawings that I did.

Collage Sketches

These are sketches or band logos from when I was working on my collage, and I was thinking about drawing pictures for it.

Head Sketch

This is just a random sketch in my sketchbook from when we were practicing drawing the human body.

Neon Painting

This is my neon painting sketch and the final outcome.
